  Probably….
  The two biggest threats to the future of the human species are our own behaviour (firing nuclear weapons or environmental disaster) and an asteroid strike. Human behaviour is much more likely to lead us into trouble short term. Long term, migration to other worlds is the only way to prevent humans from being wiped out completely.

  No-one knows. But I’d bet strongly against it. Betting for it wouldn’t be too bright for at least two reasons:
  1 It’s unlikely
  2 You wouldn’t have long to spend the money

  I hope not, but at the end of the day I think it’s unlikely, for the reasons Michael and Jonathan have given.
