The oldest person who is still alive is Besse Cooper livin in the USA, who is 115 years and 308 days old. The oldest person who has ever lived was Jeanne calment, of France, who died aged 122 years and 164 days.
There are some areas of the world where there are lots of people who are reported to reach great ages. Those areas usually have two properties: poor records of when babies were born, and the habit of giving children exactly the same name as their parents.
Improvements in health and scientific research will probably develop ways to allow us to live longer and it’s believed that many of your generation will live to be 100 or more … which at the moment is uncommon.
There will probably be many more people living over 100y in Britain and similar countries. At the same time the average life expectancy might fall. The rapidly increasing rates of obesity are a major cause of that. Poor people die younger than rich people. If you take the Central Line from Westminster to Canning Town (eight stops) the life expectancy of the people living near the Tube station drops by about 1y/ stop.
