• Question: when blackholes consume a star does it travel through a wormhole and if so would it come out of a different blackhole in another galaxy?

      This is a fascinating question, but i think no-one really knows the answer! No-one has managed to prove whether wormholes really exist or not. Some scientists think that if they do exist, there are some types of wormhole which you can travel thorugh into another part of the universe, or into a different universe, and this may also allow time-travel! Other scientists think that there are types of wormhole which cannot be passed through.

      Current scientific theories predict that black holes should exist. There are some astronomical experiments going on to see if we can detect any real ones. I’d bet that we will find one quite soon.

      Wormholes are also predicted by some theories, but we’re much further away from ever being able to study them than we are for black holes.
