• Question: When a lighted matchstick is shown before another light source, the shadow of the matchstick is formed on a screen but not the shadow of the flame. Why is it so?

      That’s a good puzzle – I think it would be because the flame is throwing off light itself so a shadow wouldn’t form behind it – it would light up its own shadow.
