I don’t think of some foods being good foods and others being bad foods. There are some things you need to eat enough of such as proteins and fats and vitamins, and you get ill if you don’t eat enough.

One of the biggest causes of illness in Britain is eating too much food. Food that contains lots of sugar often tastes good but it can be very easy to eat too much of it.

It doesn’t matter if it’s “natural” or not, except to the companies who advertise it to you.

All sugar is natural – it is from plants. Cane sugar comes from sugar cane and other types of sugar come from sugar beet which looks a bit like a turnip. The waste products from this is turned into food for farm animals such as horses. Some foods such as fruits and sweet vegetables contain sugars such as fructose. All sugars will rot your teeth if you eat too much and don’t brush your teeth!
