      It depends what type of cell you mean. In humans, different cell types vary a lot in size. Human red blood cells are 6-8 micrometers, while liver cells can be up to 25 micrometers in diameter (a micrometer is a thousanth of a millimeter). The human oocyte (the “egg” produced by the ovary in females) is about 100 micormeters in diameter.
