That is always a worry but there are plenty of measures in place to try and make sure that doesn’t happen. Everyday we check that the analysers are working properly by running quality controls and the results are always double checked if they are very unusual to make sure nothing has gone wrong. Sometimes we will ask the doctor to send a repeat sample to make sure the result is correct too if we are in any doubt.

All the time. But we are trained very well and we have processes to try and stop us making mistakes, as Samantha has described.
You need to have the right amount of self-confidence: not too much and not too little.
