When I was younger I wanted to be a vet – which I guess is a type of scientist. Then I changed my mind and wanted to be a scene of crimes officer – again a type of scientist, so I guess the answer is yes 🙂

At school I wanted to be an astronaut – so in a way I have always been keen on science. I have been interested in arts subjects too like history, music and law. If you are keen on arts and science subjects and can’t make up your mind my advice would be to study science. Its much easier to study an arts subject later in life.

I have always been interested in science, so I always wanted to be involved in science in one way or another. Although I was interested in music and books and films as a teenager, I didn’t know how I could make a career in those areas, so I chose science. One of the advantages of choosing to study sciences at school/ university, is that there are many job opportunities for people with science qualifications, and many different types of job – just look at all the different types of scientist on “I’m a scientist, get me out of here!”

I wanted to be a doctor for as long as I can remember. Adding the science came a bit later… around the age of 6 I think.

I’m really interested in technology and engineering as well as pure science. Technology and engineering have been very important in inventing better treatments for patients, and they sometimes get forgotten. Britain is brilliant at technology and engineering. There have been some good programmes on television recently about British engineers. Can you name one?

At the moment I’m rehearsing to act in a play. Lots of scientists like reading, playing musical instruments and sport. Just like normal people!
