  I studied biology for 3 years, then medicine for 5 years before working in a hospital. It is possible to study medicine straight from school at 18.

  Hi guys – I studied for 3 years at uni before working in a hospital. I work with some people who haven’t been to uni at all though – it all depends what sort of job you would like to do in the hospital – there are loads!

7 years altogether at University. But doctors go on taking exams for years AFTER they have qualified as doctors.

When you come to work experience do think about doing it in your local hospital. Then talk to us early.
